“Young Blood” – Performed at TeenStar

heres my first TeenStar song!! young blood by Sophie Ellis Bextor :):):)

If im honest, I had never heard of this song before my Mum discovered it. Also, the way that Sophie sings it is quite different to the way that i do.

For the competition, the song had to be cut short in order to fit the 3:30 time frame, this song was rather longer but also included quite a few instrumentals so we didnt have to cut out much of the actual singing part. I really didnt know what to expect when i went to the regionals because the auditions had been held in small rooms with 4 of us taking turns and about 7 judges. This time I had been told there was a much larger audience, lights, microphones, the lot.

When i went into the room for the first time i got really scared because there was a large audience and i wasnt sure whether id forget the words to my song. However, in the end, i got excited after watching other acts and wanted to gett up there and sing my song to show them what i could do. The process was exhilarating because this competition was like nothing id experienced before.
